Major Endocrine Conditions:
- Diabetes:
High blood sugar levels caused by insufficient insulin production or the inability of body to use insulin.
- Hypothyroidism: The thyroid gland doesn’t produce adequate thyroid hormone, leaving symptoms like fatigue and weight gain.
- Hyperthyroidism: The thyroid gland produces excess thyroid hormone, resulting in weight loss and a rapid heartbeat.
- Adrenal Insufficiency (Addison's Disease):
The adrenal glands don't produce the required amount of cortisol and aldosterone, which are the steroid hormones.
