Minimally Invasive Surgery or Laparoscopy is a specialised surgical procedure it involves multiple incision of about 0.5 – 1cm as against a single large incision in open surgery. This uses the method of transmitting images from abdominal cavity from high resolution molecules which the surgeon views and performs the same procedure as in traditional surgery however with smaller incisions. The advantages of laparoscopic surgery are faster recovery, early discharge and return to normal day to day activities.
